COMBO / BLADE & SHADE

“Best of both worlds” *MOST POPULAR

Microshading is a good option for clients who want a natural look with more definition.

Microblading is first performed partially throughout the brow followed by shading, using a handheld machine that inserts tiny-pixels into the skin using a sterile single-use needle cartridge. This creates a more dense/three-dimensional look.

Microshading is best for clients who fill in their brows on a daily basis, those with little to no eyebrow hair, those with very little but dark eyebrow hair, or those with naturally dense/coarse brow hairs.

OMBRE / POWDER BROWS

“Fuller/Makeup look”

Ombre brow is for clients who prefer fuller results that provide a soft powdery look.

This is performed using a traditional tattoo machine that inserts tiny pixels into the skin using a sterile single-use needle cartridge that mimics the look of an eyebrow powder. The tails of the brow is darker and fade lighter toward the beginning of the brow. This creates a soft makeup effect that lets your own natural hair texture provide natural looking, soft fronts.

Ombré/Powder Brows is best for clients with oily/sensitive skin or with larger pores. It’s great for clients who have lots of texture from their own hairs, but need a little definition.

MICROBLADING

“Most natural”

Microblading is for clients who want to enhance the look of their eyebrows with natural-looking, hair-like strokes.

This is performed using a sterile packaged single-use blade that deposits small amount of pigments in their dermis layer of the skin. This creates fine like hair strokes creating an illusion of a fuller/thicker brow.

Microblading is best for clients with dry/normal skin or those who suffer from trichotillomania, alopecia or any other condition that causes hair loss. This method is NOT suited for oilier skin, or those with sensitive or porous/textured skin in the brow area.

  • While microblading is considered a typically safe and reliable procedure for most people, certain conditions and skin types can prohibit clients from being a good candidate. First, there are certain skin types that are the most favorable, and the most unfavorable for microblading.

The most FAVORABLE skin type for microblading:

~ Normal/dry skin with tiny pores. Skin that is not too thin or not too thick. This type of skin has low sensitivity, with non-translucent fair ivory skin tone and doesn't bleed easily.

~ Normal to combination skin with small to normal pores; slightly oily to dry, and normal sensitivity. This type of skin is usually non-translucent and can range from light to dark skin tones, young or mature skin and doesn't bleed easily.

Microblading is NOT FAVORABLE for these skin types:

~ Thick, oily skin with large pores tends to bleed easily and can negatively affect the absorption of pigment (this skin type is sometimes compared to an orange peel). The skin texture and constant production of oil will cause the hairstrokes to heal with a thicker, diffused, softer look, or even bleed together and cause strokes to become blended or blurry. Retention of pigment and strokes in general is much harder for this skin type. Certain artists may agree to work on this skin type, however clients must understand that their results may end up looking softer, powdery, or more blended than expected. Blurriness will increase with time on this skin type.

~ Super-thin, soft, hypersensitive skin (sometimes compared to a hard boiled egg or marshmallow). Usually translucent / pale with invisible pores. This type of skin is highly prone to developing scar tissues, bleeds very easily, and has a harder time healing, and pigment can appear blurred and blotchy.

~ Those prone to dermatitis, eczema, or rosacea, especially in the facial area, are not good candidates for microblading. Any trauma to the skin from tattooing (including microblading OR powder brows) can cause the dermatitis, rosacea, or eczema to spread to the brow area.

~ Skin that is very textured (ie: wrinkled, severe scars from injury or surgery, or porous). Visually, its helpful to think of what it is like to take a permanent marker and draw a line across an apple, vs drawing a line across an orange or a date. The line on the apple will be crisp. The line on the orange or date will not be complete, it will be patchy or dotted, which is how microblading translates onto textured skin types. Powder brows is a beautiful option for these skin types as an alternative.

If you have any questions/concerns in regards to if you are a good candidate, please reach out to your artist to confirm!

  • This is different for every person. Skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle plays a huge factor. Microblading typically required maintenance between 1-3 years.

Cosmetic Tattoo is designed to soften over time therefore touch-ups are normal and expected. Oily skin types will likely have pigments soften quicker and require more frequent touch-ups.

Final results CAN NOT be guaranteed as everyone has a unique skin type and we breakdown pigment differently. If you do not maintain your touch ups, you may be left with a slight haze, which can act as a guide for filling in your brows.

  • Initial procedure: 2.5 - 3.5 hours.

    Perfecting touch-up: 1 - 2 hours.

  • A topical 5% lidocaine is applied prior to the procedure to make you feel more comfortable.

The feeling is described as annoying/uncomfortable, however some clients feel no discomfort at all.

  • It is a 2-step treatment consisting of an initial procedure and then a touch up 8-12 weeks after.

FIRST STEP: A photo is taken with and without makeup. We consult on the best brow shape, desired thickeness and color to suit your features. One size does not fit all; we use your bone structure pairs with a mathematical equation to reveal your perfect shape. This is the most important part for us! Once we agree on the shape, we then begin the procedure. An anesthetic is also administered before the second pass. We take after photos, go over after aftercare kit/instructions and schedule your perfecting touch-up appointment.

SECOND STEP/FOLLOW-UP: It is normal and expected to experience some pigment loss during the healing process, hence we have touch-ups in place 8-12 weeks.

  • This varies per person. The healing process can take anywhere from 7 to 14 days. Your brows will go through a variety of healing stages. Immediately after the procedure, your brows will appear very dark and increase over the next few days as scabs begin to form. RESIST THE URGE TO PICK!! These scabs need to fall off naturally in order to achieve the desired results. Your brows will then look very light/milky for a few days. Full healing can take up to 4-6 weeks.

It is normal for 30% - 50% of the pigment to soften. A touch-up appointment is scheduled with your artist 8-12 weeks after your initial procedure to go over any areas that may need a little boost to to perfect your brows!

Some factors contributing to healing and healed results are out of the artists control. It is different for every person; skin quality, type, texture and lifestyle (sun exposure, exfoliants) will affect how well pigments are recieved and last in each individual client.

  • Sometimes, this varies depending on your old tattoo color, skin type and artist. We require that anyone who has had previous work on their brows by another artist to send pictures for approval before booking an appointment so we can discuss your options, schedule sufficient time, and discuss price. Any client coming to us from a different artist is considered a new client with initial pricing.

*****We are NOT currently accepting clients who have had previous work on their brows. If you had previous work and book any procedure, your scheduling fee will be forfeited.

  • No. Microblading cannot be performed on a client who is pregnant or breast feeding in case of infection.

  • No, there is no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness and swelling will dissipate within a couple of hours after the procedure.

  • Not at all. Since microblading is a manual method that is used to deposit small amounts of pigment in the superficial layer of the skin, we achieve thin, crisp lines that closely resembles your natural eyebrow hair. Ombré/powder brows is a “make up” look; however once healed it is a soft powder brow look.

  • Although the procedure is considered semi-permanent, these procedures do have flexibility in changing color and shape to some extent. Colors will appear 30% darker and thicker immediately following the procedure but will soften and lighten during the healing process. The healing time is different for each individual and remember that it takes time to adjust to a new look. We will also have the opportunity to make minor adjustments at your follow up appointment.

  • Your body’s skin changes over time and so will any permanent makeup coloration implanted into the skin's layers.
